CLR and Veterans Team Up

On May, 22nd, the management team of CLR met with Anthony "Tony" Chapa, Program Support Assistant, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs out of Crown Point. The purpose of the meeting was two-fold. Chester, president of CLR Auto Transport asked how CLR could help with Tony's efforts to assist combat veterans who need some assistance. Tony gave some great ideas and told of the programs they have for the homeless veterans, habitat for humanity, food banks, as well as other initiatives.

The second reason for the meeting was to ask Tony how CLR could hire some qualified veterans as drivers, to meet the needs of their growing business. Pat Shaw, VP of CLR stated that "We admire their discipline and the methodical way they do things. This type person is a good fit for us". CLR tries to hire the best drivers and feel that this relationship could be a win-win. Good for CLR and it's clients and good for some retired veterans who need some work or would just like a diversion and love to drive.
