CLR's Pat Shaw Participates in Supplier Diversity Webinar

On Thursday July 21st, CLR President Pat Shaw participated in the “Don’t Just Check the Box on Supplier Diversity” webinar, hosted by Element Fleet Management through the NAFA 2022 Supplier Webinar Series.

Pat Shaw, a native of Santiago, Chile, participated on the panel of guests, which also included Mary Kariotis, President and CEO of Merrimak Capital and Timothy Wright, Manager of Supplier Diversity for Johnson Controls, Inc.. The segment was moderated by Eric Stanley, Managing Director at Element Fleet Management.

Pat spoke on her early years in the transportation industry, how her and late husband Chester LaPierre co-founded CLR in 2005 and how the opportunity for the CLR team to prove themselves has played a significant role in the incredible growth CLR has experienced over the last three years. “We thank Element for the chance to show them what CLR could do. Once you get the chance, you have to perform. Nothing was guaranteed. We earned that growth,” says Pat.

The event highlighted Diversity, Equity and Inclusion with an emphasis on implementing a diverse supplier business strategy. This includes working with companies that are owned by minorities, women, veterans, LGBTQ and disable business owners.
