1. AI, automation and this policy
This policy explains the role and limits of artificial intelligence (AI) and automated assistance in the CLR public website and related informational communications. AI generally means technology that generates or interprets content using models. A database lookup, form rule, route calculation or automatic acknowledgment is not necessarily AI.
Some website text or illustrative material may be prepared with AI-assisted drafting or design tools. Such assistance does not make a generated statement an accepted quote, an operational instruction or professional advice. CLR's published policies and accepted service documents remain the references for their subjects.
2. Website functions and what they do
Automated public-site features include checking required form fields, suggesting address corrections, decoding a VIN through NHTSA, retrieving year/make/model recall records, estimating route mileage and routing submitted inquiries. These functions use the information and services described in our Privacy Policy.
The public quote workflow collects information for CLR review. It does not itself accept a vehicle, approve a storage reservation, agree to a rate, make an employment offer or resolve a legal or insurance claim. A system-generated reference or receipt is not evidence that a person has reviewed the request.
3. Human judgment and assistance
Confirm important pricing, scheduling, availability, vehicle-condition, access, safety or contract questions with an authorized CLR representative. An automated explanation cannot amend an accepted agreement or exercise authority that CLR has not granted.
You may contact CLR by phone, email or the Contact Us form to request human assistance or question a result. Where a tool permits manual entry, you may use it instead of accepting suggested vehicle or address values. Review decoded and corrected information before submission.
4. Accuracy, safety and professional advice
Model-generated language can sound authoritative while being wrong, incomplete or out of date. External reference data can also contain errors. Do not treat either kind of result as proof of ownership, mechanical safety, recall completion, regulatory compliance, insurance coverage or legal eligibility.
Verify material facts against the relevant official record, manufacturer, facility contact or qualified adviser. CLR's VIN and recall tools do not independently inspect a vehicle or certify its condition. If a result conflicts with a confirmed instruction or accepted agreement, stop and ask CLR to clarify before acting.
5. Information and provider handling
The Privacy Policy identifies the information transmitted by the website's VIN, address, routing and communications functions. A general permission to respond to an inquiry is not an unrestricted permission to publish its contents or use confidential information for unrelated model training.
Do not put confidential customer records, credentials or unnecessary sensitive information into a public or third-party AI tool. A future AI feature that processes submitted information must be evaluated for its actual data flow, provider terms, notices and legally required permissions. Provider-specific data handling, retention and training restrictions must be identified in the applicable notice or agreement; they should not be assumed to be identical for every tool.
6. Changes to AI-assisted features
Materially different features, including a customer-facing conversational assistant or automation affecting significant decisions, require disclosure appropriate to the actual feature and any applicable legal safeguards. Introducing a new tool does not make a prior form consent cover an unrelated use.
Questions about a response, correction or human review should identify the page, feature and relevant result. Include the minimum information needed to investigate, and contact the CLR representative responsible for an urgent service matter.
7. Questions, requests and document updates
Contact CLR Auto Transport Corp., 8450 Whitcomb Street, Merrillville, IN 46410, at info@clrautotransport.com, 888-257-2677, or our Contact Us form. Identify the policy or issue so we can route the request.
This document supplements CLR's Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Applicable law and accepted service agreements continue to govern their respective subjects. Updates are identified by the date shown on the page and do not retroactively change accepted service arrangements. Other policies are available in the Legal Center.
