1. Purpose and scope
Requests for CLR records, preservation notices, subpoenas, court orders and other legal process should identify the requesting person or authority, their contact details, the legal basis, the records involved, the relevant dates and any applicable deadline or restriction on notice. Requests should be reasonably specific and directed to the correct legal entity.
Send an initial inquiry to info@clrautotransport.com with the subject "Legal request," or write to CLR Auto Transport Corp., Attn: Legal Request, 8450 Whitcomb Street, Merrillville, IN 46410. This is an administrative contact channel. Listing it does not designate an agent for service, waive proper service requirements, accept jurisdiction or promise compliance with an informal request.
CLR may verify authority, request clarification, preserve relevant records, seek appropriate protection, object to an improper request or disclose information where required or otherwise permitted by law. A request is not an assurance that the information exists, is controlled by CLR or can be produced on the requested schedule.
Information held by a separate carrier, customer, portal operator or platform may require a request to that organization. Where a service provider holds records for CLR, the applicable roles, agreements and law determine how the request is handled. Nothing here waives a privilege, confidentiality obligation or available legal objection.
2. Review and disclosure limits
Review may include the requesting authority, jurisdiction, legal sufficiency, scope, deadlines and whether responsive records are controlled by CLR. We may seek clarification or appropriate legal protection. Requests should be specific enough to avoid unnecessarily disclosing information about unrelated customers or individuals.
Where disclosure is required or otherwise lawful, it should be limited to the responsive information justified by the request. CLR does not promise to create records that do not exist, obtain another organization's records or disclose privileged communications, private security details or unrelated confidential information.
3. Notice, emergency requests and preservation
Notification to an affected person may depend on law, an order, confidentiality obligations, investigative restrictions and safety concerns. No advance-notice promise is made where notice is prohibited, inappropriate or would create a material risk.
An asserted emergency must identify the authority, threatened harm, relevant facts and information sought. Disclosure still requires a lawful basis. For immediate danger, contact emergency services rather than relying on a general website inbox.
Preservation and production are separate actions. A valid hold may suspend routine deletion without establishing that the preserved material must be disclosed. Requests from outside the United States require evaluation under applicable jurisdictional and legal requirements.
